How To Save Money At Louisville Restaurants

Blog post written by City Saver sales representative Kim Grau

One of our Louisville sales representatives, Kim Grau, offers some insight into some of her favorite Louisville restaurants, and how to save money with your Louisville City Saver coupons.

The Oakroom
Located in the historic Seelbach Hotel, The Oakroom is a treat for the senses. Originally known as a hangout for many famous mafia members, including Al Capone, The Oakroom is now Kentucky’s first and only AAA Five-Diamond Restaurant in Kentucky!Oakroom2

My family and I enjoy the Sunday brunch after church; it features a spectacular array of fresh fruits, omelets made to order, huge prawns and other seafood, amazing desserts and pastries. It is the best Sunday brunch I have ever had!

Please treat yourself to The Oakroom’s Sunday brunch and don’t forget to bring your Louisville City Saver coupon. You will save $29 with a great BOGO offer!

Austin’s has been a favorite restaurant of mine for years! I always order the Alfredo pasta with shrimp because it’s so yummy and creamy. The generous portion allows me to take half home for another lunch or dinner. The pasta dishes come with a house salad (one of the best you’ll ever have; I recommend the honey mustard house dressing) and a warm, honey-drizzled croissant.

My husband’s favorites are the salmon, the Maker’s Mark sirloin and the hamburgers (he claims they have the best in town). I am getting hungry thinking about it! Be sure to bring your Louisville City Saver coupon for a BOGO lunch or dinner entrée and save $15.

King Fish RestaurantKing Fish
A family favorite for a very long time, King Fish Restaurant features a huge outdoor deck overlooking the Ohio River with a gorgeous view of Louisville’s skyline (especially at night)!

My favorite entrée is the seafood platter, but you can’t go wrong with their famous Icelandic Whitefish sandwich, either. They also have a children’s menu with all their favorites. Don’t forget your Louisville City Saver coupon for a BOGO lunch or dinner and save $9.

Genghis Grill
Want to build your own stir-fry in a fun, casual atmosphere? My family loves to eat at Genghis Grill, and it’s perfect for lunch or dinner before or after a movie at Tinseltown!

Pile on your favorite meats, vegetables, seafood and sauces from over 60 ingredients, and your stir-fry creation will be grilled right in front of you in a matter of moments. Bring your Louisville City Saver coupon for a BOGO bowl and save $12.

Hillbilly Tea
Hillbilly Tea is a new discovery, and an instant favorite of mine!  I love the off-beat, casual atmosphere located downtown. You will have to try one of their signature herbal teas; they are so delicious!

I ordered Pork and Pone (pulled pork on corn pone with roasted garlic mayo and red cabbage chow-chow) the last time I was there, and I’m still dreaming about it! Take a friend and enjoy a BOGO breakfast or lunch, and save $10.

Taco Punk
Taco Punk is a funky little restaurant featuring tacos made by hand, and they are all served on fresh home-made tortillas and garnished to your liking with shredded cabbage, pickled onions, jalapeno peppers and cilantro. Try the delicious Punk Platter, which comes with two tacos, one side, chips and salsa. You can use your Louisville City Saver coupon for a BOGO Punk Platter and save $12.95!
